Aly Dort is an exceptionally passionate, outspoken and ambitious artist, poet, and mother based in Kjipukuk, Mi’kma’ki (Halifax, Nova Scotia) on Canada’s East Coast.

Aly seeks to create work that is at times painfully raw, but also promotes dialogue, compassion, and inner healing.

Through her work, Aly strives to shed light on the taboo experiences that too many of us live with in silence. Her personal narratives and critical lens acts as a catalyst for change— weaving her voice into the tapestry of what it means to exist in a world that can feel both painful and isolating.
